The necessary and overwhelming research for truth which characterizes Leonardo Sciascia’s life has often been connected to Luigi Pirandello. By the means of a quantitative analysis of the documents concerning pirandellian topics contained in Leonardo Sciascia collection – Reviews, this paper aims at giving an overview of Pirandello’s influence on the reception of Leonardo Sciascia who, on several occasions, considers the Sicilian writer as a “father”. Starting from a “distant reading” perspective, this study focuses on the reception of Sciascia’s works involving pirandellian topics, on the basis of the occurrence of the typologies of reviews, the periodization and the international origin of the comments as well as the curves of the reception of works involved.
