The article gives a first overview of the Claudio Pavone Archive, being arranged, deposited in the Central State Archive. The archive is made up of approximately 166 boxes covering a chronological period from the mid-twentieth century until the early 2000s. The documentation mainly relates to the scholar’s scientific activity. It is still premature to provide a detailed reflection on the documentation but are certainly clear the extreme rigor and dedication that the scholar has reserved for his works. It is therefore hoped that at the end of the arrangement, the documenta­tion can provide to the user new methodological ideas on the figure of Claudio Pavone.
