Il Dialogo del ballo di Rinaldo Corso. Studio ed edizione
Questo lavoro si presenta come uno studio ed un’edizione del Dialogo in quanto, dopo aver effettuato la collazione delle due edizioni note, la prin­ceps del 1555 e la seconda del 1557, ci si è resi conto di come la seconda edi­zione fosse priva di corruttele e ampliata rispetto alla precedente. Essendo stata pubblicata quando l’autore era ancora in vita, essa sembra restituire la sua ultima volontà e per questo chi scrive ha ritenuto opportuno basare la trascrizione proprio su quest’ultima pubblicazione del Corso.
The Rinaldo Corso’s Dialogo del ballo. An academic study on the text and its editions
This paper is a study of the Dialogo. Comparing and contrasting the two original texts, i.e. the princes (published in 1555) and the one dated 1557, it becomes clear that the second one is the best one. Indeed, the second edi­tion does not present mistakes and it offers many more useful insights and additional contents. Moreover, the second edition was published when the author was still alive; thus, it was the last one approved by the Corso himself. For this reason, and to respect the will of the author I decided to base my research and my transcription on the second edition of the Dialogo del ballo by Rinaldo Corso.
